Bard Aid [Buzzer sounds] I'm sorry, trhe correct answer also included Warlock and other prestige classes for the Use Magic Device skill. However, the spell selection and bardsong is correct. Pretty much, see what needs to be supported. Not just in party strength, but in everyday use: Have a good fighter? How can the bard support them, like aid another or magic/bardsong? Have another rouge? Where can the bard help flank? You ARE the "rouge"? Look into hiding, sneaking, finding traps, magically stopping them, and using the BLUFF skill to remove opponent's dexterity. And consider a class that gives you sneak attack damage. PC's have some good skills? What other skills can the bard fill in with their 6 SP/level? Have a cleric? Have the bard offer support healing when they run out or UMD when they need to help in a hurry! Have another arcanist? What spells can the bard take that they didn't have or use to enhance (like if a bard and wizard both have a cooperate spell feat and a couple of good enhancing spells). Need clever fighting? Did you see they are one of the few classes (core) that has whip as a main proficiency? Use it to trip and hit from a distance. Or look into Lasher from the Sword and Fist book. Don't forget whip-dagger can cause lethal damage, and whips can "grab" onto things for both retreiving and swinging from items. Need a party boost? This is when the brdsong and magic shine! Always get haste if you can! Yes, the bard truly is the jack of all trades and master of none. So see if your party needs a NPC character to focus on something, and do so. Then see how you can provide "backup". Don'ty forget the other builder and "complete" books for PrC and other ideas, especially Complete Advunturer! I don't have the space here to show how you can use bards with that! I AM, --the truthseeker
