no more message board sign ups...i'll tell ya here:

e-minions upgrade and oathbound to 3.5. Make the monsters redone and I'll buy a book on them.

Wow, I am totally with you on that. It's too easy for every publisher to have their own message board now, and they probably feel like they have to. Then they want to draw traffic to their board, so they refuse to frequent anything else, and go pimp it on other boards to get people to theirs. It probably feels user-friendly if you're already on that board, but it's a rat pain-in-the-a$$ if you're not.

Publishers and big/setting fan sites (frex: enworld, canonfire, birthright.net off the top of my head) should get together and have a unified login system. Have a login for one, have a login for all. It'd be a bit of a shakeup at the beginning, normalizing the databases and solving username conflicts and whatnot, but would vastly simplify the system eventually. Messageboards are only going to proliferate, unless we stop the madness.

I hate to say it, but MS saw this one coming a while back, and has a system, what do they call it, passport? for all their sites, a hotmail login is a MS Groups (whatever they call their messageboards) login is a whatever-else-needs-a-login on their system. That's what we need, a rpg passport-alike.

Well, to pull this thread back on topic..... ;)

I will add the Minions update into the hat, but I am a tad confused on converting Oathbound to 3.5 - unless you are referring to the adventures, of course. :) Also, when you say to redo the monsters, are you speaking of stats and art, just art, just stats, or what? Thanks for the feedback!

Do me a favor. DO NOT TOUCH THE ART! It is the BEST part about bastion press work, i can count on very very high quality art work and that's a good selling point.

Nay good ashy! I just want the monsters and critters all brought forth to the new edition using the 3.5 standards and terminology (ECL,LA, different subtypes, etc) and then available to buy. Heck you can roll in the oathbound monsters into e-minions part deux and it'll be a seller.

Let me know if you want some help doing it :D

Minions Revised

I agree that Minions should be revised.

It should have all monsters put out that were in 3.0, especially those in Oathbound and latter products. Between Minions and E-Minions alone, that's probably 128 page book.

It should update them with some examples of round by round tactics, as well as some examples of 'read' aloud text to the GM.

It should include advanced versions of the same monsters.

It should have full racial information for playing the humanoid races.

If possible, those races which are more powerful than standard humans should have level development similiar to Savage Specieis, Character Customization, Morningstar and Arcana Unearthed.

It should include any racial prestige classes, weapons, and artifacts.

It should include adventure seeds.

It should include brief sections on "Using This" for say, Oathbound and if appropriate, in Freeport or other OGC settings.

Those additions make this 160-176 pages not counting any other details that might've slipped the old mind.

In addition to several other Bastion books, I have Minions:Rebirth (the pdf), and I love it. It's already 132 pages long, and a revision of those monsters would be greatly appreciated. I like to use those monsters, because they are very diverse without being plain silly.

As far as the art in that book (ansd several others) goes, I didn't like it very much - so I thought. Then I decided to print Minions:Rebirth out, and in order to cut costs, I made a high quality b&w laser print. Hey, what an effect! I discovered that I actually liked the drawings, but only had problems with those colours ;).

Therefore, I would not have any problems with a b&w product :D, or else I'd like you to change those colours.

Well, I must say that I am surprised at all the Minions feedback, but I guess in retrospect, it is a GREAT product! :

KoC, we are looking at having another at some point in the future, I assure you! Are there any other fan-related things (such as contests, giveaways, and so forth) that you would like to see the Bastion crew moving forward with?

As always, thanks for the feedback! :D
