I would say robin should be brough in after Bruce sees a childhood crush with her own family. He begins longing for one himself. Ditch robin being an circus acrobat, this is batman reloaded, let's try would be youth olympic gymnastic star with martial arts on the side. The bad guys want Robby's chief competition to win. [bet or a forein crime boss paid to have his homeland win]. So much so they try and bribe Rob's widower father BIG bux to pull his son out. That fails. They try to drug rob's water bottle with something that will cause him to fail his next drug test. The father inadvertanly drinks the druged water and has a horrid and eventualy fatal reaction. Wayne is in audience of the event and sees the kid lose his father. The bad guys go to finish the job before the kid can talk. Kid is no slouch in combat. but is outnumbered. Bat had been paying attention to the father fearing a new scarecrow or joker toxin and is nearby. The bat wins the fight, but Rob tries to break the neck/ skull of one of the crooks. Bat stops him. Rob verbaly berates bat."what would you do?" Bat is distracted by a flashback of losing his own parents. After this point i don't know what to do...
