The rest are just nuts. R'as is too, but he has what he sees are excellent reasons.  For those of you who don't know, R'as (at least in the comics) wants to kill off most of the people on Earth because he sees them as parasites destroying the planet. He's the ultimate eco-freak and has the power, money and will to carry it out. He's very much like what Batman might have been like had he gone 'bad', since aside from his discovery of a way to ressurect himself he's a normal guy with a lot of training.
