"A space explorer (Wilson) who crash-landed on the planet Terra finds himself thrust to the forefront of a battle to prevent his people, who are entrenched in a civil war at home, from invading the beautiful, peaceful planet where he has two new friends, rebellious alien teens Mala (Wood) and Senn (Long)."

THE BUZZ: This debut animated feature from Canadian production company Snoot Entertainment might turn a few heads amongst the executive ranks at Pixar and DreamWorks. Since its debut at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007, Terra (the movie's original title) has earned awards and positive reviews alike, with many people responded to the project's obvious environmental themes, as well as the creation of a utopian world where freethinkers (cue the voices of Evan Rachel Wood and Justin Long) are outcasts. Looks pretty neat. I do hope it attempts to be somewhat original. Animated films of late have been awefully formulaic. While amusing and somewhat entertaining, they become boring after the first viewing.

This one at least has an interesting premise. And although I hold bitter feelings towards the fact that they stole my ideas, I'll still watch it.
