Battlelords of the 23rd Century - Please Help

I purchased a lot of these books off of ebay on a lark. The game looks interesting, the mechanics are a bit complex and unweildy, but the game is quite old. Is anyone familiar with this game? There is an interesting concept in that you have cards you can play in combat that give you special bonuses... action cards of some type. The main rulebook mentions them but they weren't present in the bundle I purchased.

I've looked (a little) over the web trying to find info on the cards but have come up empty handed. Does anyone have suggestions on where I can either find a deck or find the content of the cards so I can make my own?

The game was published by a company called Optimus Design Systems and the last copywrite on it was in 1993. So its a bit of a vintage game.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

We carry this game, and there is a group currently playing a campaign at the store. I am not familiar with any deck, but I will check this out for you.

Never got a chance to play it, but I parused the books a few times, looked interesting.

Some twisted stuff in there. Can't remember the race, but there's an engeneered alien race of redneck hillbilly rabit humanoids, who love shotguns, have truck parts all over their yards, and have improper thoughts about their sisters. Of course, they also breed like rabits, and the galexy hates them. Quite strange.

Thank you Thalmin. If you find the deck for me I will order it from your shop if you are a store. :) It was my understanding that this game was long out of print.

SWBaxter, I will check the webring, thanks for the help. Dunno why I didn't find it before. My google fu must have been weak today. ;)

I have an embarassing admission to make. I confused the game Battlelords with another eBay lot I won around the same time. A game called ShatterZone by West End Games that is long out of print. I located a link to the action deck on PDF and purchased it for $5. Thank you for your offers of help, I hope I didn't send you on a wild goose chase Thalmin. :\

No problem. I haven't gone in to work yet. And yes, I have a store, see sig. I think we still have some Shatterzone stuff in stock.
Just as a side note, the company now publishing Battlelords is SSDC. I understand the initials stand for Same Stuff Different Company (or close enough for Erics grandmother.)

I have this game it was pretty good though a little heavy on the combat side of things, lots of nice detail in the book though. Mine never came with any cards so unless a second edition or some such was released that introduced them then I do not think they were included with the main rules.. maybe with one of the supplementary books?

Despite having read it and even run it in the past I cant say I recall mention of cards though.. possibly they were a suggestion for something you could add?

Well, considering the age of the game I can't imagine the ShatterZone books are leaping off your shelf. Send me a list of what you have left and I might be interested if I don't already have it. :)
