Battlemap Altitude Columns

I remember seeing a product offered a few years ago that I'm trying to find again. Someone had produced some clear plastic towers of some kind that had little marks at regular intervals and a plastic ring around the outside that could be moved to these marks to measure altitude. The idea was to put a miniature on top of this on a battlemap and use the marks to represent how high that miniature was supposed to be.

Last weekend, we had a big fight where everyone was flying and the mapboard was a see of assorted plastic dice containers of various sizes. The miniatures were all at different heights because of the variations in the dice containers, but these heights had no bearing on the actual altitude of the PC. It was a bit confusing. I remembered seeing those columns and started thinking I really should get some. The problem is I can't find them.

Does anyone remember the thing I'm talking about? Can anyone direct me to them? Is there another solution similar to this?

Thanks.

Apparently it's not just the numbering that's patented. How they managed to patent an acrylic rod (technically any material, although they mention acrylic in the patent) is beyond me...

Check out a local machine shop, they may have some left over acrylic rod you can have for cheap - if not for free (I worked for one that threw out a TON of them). No numbers on them, but you can use dice for your altitude.

You can get the same effect with poker chips. $5 chip equals 5 feet of elevation. As an added bonus, name your PC The Ante, and then you get to say, "I up the Ante."
