Beguilers and Extra Spell

If a beguiler takes the extra spell feat, what spell list do you chose the spell from? It seems to imply that if you are a sorcerer/wizard you chose from the Sorcerer/Wizard spell list...which means that if you a beguiler and take the feat you take the spell from the beguiler list...which is useless since you have all those spells.

As near as I can tell, the Extra Spell feat is useless for classes that can cast all spells on their list (most prepared divine casters except the Archivist, beguilers, dread necromancers, and warmages).

That's what I figured. Guess I'll take spell focus instead when the time comes.

If I were DMing I'd allow it to act as an extra "advanced learning" feature, i.e. you can choose any enchantment or illusion spell on the Sorc/Wiz list.

Or create a new feat that does that (probably worded so it works similarly
for warmagers, etc).
