So my party is about to meet a very old Beholder (LN) for advice. This Beholder is considered on of the True Sages of the world but always demands large tributes or very important pieces of knowledge to answer questions.
I've decided that this time he will demand them to raid a LE Beholder City (although they will find out it's a Beholder City once they are there). He want this city (and its inhabitants) killed for two reasons. First he sees them as an aberration of the Beholder Kin (well every Beholder has his own personal views on the matter...). And second because they possess something he values a lot, maybe something belonging to the Great Mother of All Beholders. That's not decided yet.
So I've got a couple of questions.
Could anyone help me refine my plot?
It's for a 16th / 17th lvl Cleric and his 13th level Monk cohort (that will be played by another character)
And secondly..
Any ideas on what would a Beholder city have?
What's the ruling on mirrors and line-of-sight effects?
And beholder small eyes?
Any help or comment would be more than welcome.
Thanks a lot.
PS: I own a dusty old old copy of the "I Tyrant" book but I never considered buying all those Beholder adventures.
