This is a proposal that I am working on to be a new feat (or feats) for WotC to incorporate into the game, possibly though a Dragon Magazine article. I'd like your input. "Is being only one race not good enough? Be two." Currently, in D&D, one can take almost any class-based feat, Paragon Path or Epic Destiny if one takes the appropriate multi-class feat, but there is no way to overcome a similar racial restriction. This really bothers me. :) Have have come up with a couple of potential feat-based solutions Feat Choice One: Racial Training (Insert Race Here). This feat may only be taken once for one additional race. You have been steeped in another race’s cultures, receiving extensive racial training such that you count as that race for feats, paragon paths and epic destinies. The additional benefits and other notes are listed below for each race: Racial Training (Bladeling): Benefits: +2 Intimidate, does not stack with any other racial bonus to Intimidate Notes: May not use any power based upon “Razor Storm” Racial Training (Deva): Benefits: +2 Religion, does not stack with any other racial bonus to Religion Notes: May not use any power based upon “Memory of a Thousand Lifetimes” Racial Training (Dragonborn): Benefits: +2 Intimidate, does not stack with any other racial bonus to Intimidate Notes: May not use any power based upon “Dragon Breath” And so on... Alternatively: Unusual Racial History Touch of (Insert Race Here). This feat may only be taken once for one additional race. You have a touch of another race within you. This might be from birth, or the result of an experiment gone awry, or even some form a ritual where racial blood is infused into you. However that was obtained, you count as that race for feats, paragon paths, epic destinies or whatever else might have a racial prerequisite. Note that if taking one of the below feats gives one a "daily" power that would normally be an "encounter" power, than any feats modifying that power must take the change of frequency into account, for example, if the frequency gets changed to "at will," it would instead get changed form "daily" to "encounter." The additional benefits and other notes are listed below for each race: Touch of Bladeling: May use "Razor Storm" as a daily power. Touch of Deva: May use "Memory of a Thousand Lifetimes" as a daily power. Touch of Dragonborn: May use "Dragon Breath" as a daily power. . . . Touch of Warforged: May use "Warforged Resolve" as a daily power. May not use any Warforged feat, power, etc. that involves actually modifying the body. And so on... Thoughts? edit: I am also considering combining the two feats into one, or offering them both, but one can take only one or the other. __________________
