Its fun, got plenty of interesting palces to go and people to kill, and adventurers don't feel constantly over shadowed by high level NPCs. I enjoy how the divine war is still in recent memory for many of the longer lived people on the planet and the area outside the pockets of civilization are very dangerous to travel in. Another aspect I enjoy is the manner in which the gods are treated like a pantheon rather than a whole lot of competeing monothiestic faithes. In many settings, a character will worship a god and kick the hell outta followers of another. In SL people may very well worship Denev to help their crops, call on Madriel for healing, and offer sacrifices to Vangal to avoid his wrath. Its alot more like real world polythiesm than many fantasy settings.Worst:Forgotten Realms: I don't really hate it, I just think its too many diverse areas stapled together with way too many established, possibly epic level, NPCs doing everything. Why fight the gnolls? Drizzt will be along soon enough, I'm sure. I have run it before, to decent results, but I just don't like the feel of it.
