Google has not helped me, and the audience here is varied and wise. I am working on a project for my blog where I shoot photos of space ship / action figure scenes on a home-made green screen set, and then wipe out the green and fill it in with a space or "nature" background. In the past, I used Paint.NET for all my image editing needs. But I'm getting older, my eyes and hands are tired of working pixel by pixel on a 2K+ resolution image. I have a Surface Book with the Pen. Paint.NET is infuriatingly tedious to highlight a region and clear it, or switch to the eraser and back to a lasso. Especially without the keyboard, which makes it easier to use the pen, but removes the Del key to delete. Plus, scrolling or zooming is a PITA, can't use my fingers. The tool box/color box doesn't dock and is always in the way. Wrong tool for the job Paint3d didn't cut the mustard. You can't even pinch zoom or scroll with a finger. Fresh Paint was close. zoom and scroll was natural with my fingers. Problem was, the tool set was limited to pencil/brush metaphors and the eraser wasn't fine enough. No line/polygon draw or selection tools. What exists out there that is closer to what I need? Paint.NET normally has all the power I need (except a polygon selector instead of lasso vs. rectangle), but it totally blows for pen control. I will say, taking the Pen, zooming in, and erasing the outline from the target subject was SO MUCH EASIER than doing it with a mouse 25 years ago when I did weird stuff for web pages. Any advice on this would be welcome, Janx
