Best Horror Movies of All Time

1. Hereditary
Just barely making it into the #1 spot is this modern masterpiece. DO NOT READ ABOUT THIS MOVIE BEFORE WATCHING. Go and experience it for yourself. It is more than just a horror movie, it's a journey. No un-hidden spoilers in this thread, please.
Great list! This is also my favorite horror movie. Heck, maybe even my favorite movie.

If you haven't seen it, this 5 hour deep dive into the film is amazing!

Likewise, I think Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is the pinnacle of that franchise.
I first saw this in theaters in 1987 when I was eleven. I'm starting to think maybe my parents didn't love me very much. The Dream Warriors is a solid entry in the Freddy anthology. Looking back, it's amazing to see how many Freddy movies they produced in such a short period of time. From 1984 to 1991 we got 6 movies.

I loved Number 3. I felt it actually had a story and plot device to go along with that one that stood out from the others.

I finally saw Krampus the other day. It was pretty good.

At some point I need to see that weird horror version of The Nutcracker with the fascist rats that blot out the sun
