The stock 3.0 and 3.5 environmental hazard rules aren't as well thought out, granular or as comprehensive as I would like. They seem suitable only for short exposure periods, such as in a small dungeon. I can probably write my own rules based on the SRD version, but it might be nice for once to pay someone to do that for me. Also, in a couple of IRL months here my own campaign is likely to move into a wilderness exploration and overland travel phase.
So, I'm taking suggestions for the best supplement, third party or otherwise, which deals well and in great detail with things like Heat exhaustion, Cold exposure, Starvation, and Thirst. At the very least, I'd like to see some alternate approaches to consider before writing my own rules.
