Speaking as a VERY old Hero fan (old in age and old in that I have on my shelf every ed. of Hero/Champ and have played them all lots of times) ... I suggest... MUTANTS & MASTERMINDS!! I really love this game it is great! I think it totally "gets" the comic book feel (at least for me and most everyone I game with). It is fast and fun and Hero Points really make you think about "how am I going to use my power?" I like Hero and all but after the last game I ran using it I decided that I would never ever never again run a game using Hero for anything. I might play in one mind you but the amount of bookkeeping that a GM has to keep track of totally kills any fun for me (four or five villains a few henchmen, tracking SPEED Phase, STUN, BODY, END, REC, etc just got to be to much for me. Others seem to enjoy it and I say "good for you!"... it not to bad for a player as you only have one player to keep that all in mind for). Again everyone is different and some people enjoy different things. Look at a few systems and go with what is fun for you and your group! Happy Slam-Fest!!!
