Legend
So I'm finishing up editing of the latest adventure of War of the Burning Sky, and the climax has an opportunity for a fight aboard a small airship that once belonged to an emperor. The heroes need to make an exit in a hurry, so they activate the airship's magic and go flying out over the army that is trying to get inside the firestorm-swept castle they are exploring. The airship is slow, so enemy soldiers with fly spells manage to catch up and grab onto the sides, battling the heroes and attempting to wrest away control of the ship while hundreds of arrows assail them from below. And this is before the undead dragon they unleashed bursts free from the castle and gives chase.
So yeah, that's all set. What I need help on is a better name for the little airship. It's not a sailing ship, but rather resembles more of a large sled, big enough for a dozen people to ride on board (but still tight quarters for combat). The ship is pulled by a team of conjured horses made of fire, so I suppose it might be like a sleigh or a wagon, but neither of those sound sufficiently regal for something an emperor would have ridden in.
In Talislanta, I recall there were aerial palanquins, though my memory is a little fuzzy, and I only recently realized a palanquin is just a litter, like what would normally be carried by slaves. I suppose I could change it so that it is carried by a quartet of huge flaming angels, but I'm kinda fond of the sun chariot visual.
So, any suggestions for names for this thing? Anything you suggest I make sure I take into account for the encounter?
