Assuming a 196 page count book, they could spend 30 pages (plus graphics and maps) on each of Greyhawk, Eberron, Planescape, Krynn, and Dark Sun, which seem to be the most popular settings. Do a map for each, with a pretty high-level overview and a few mechanics, as needed. So, Eberron gets Dragonmarks, the Artifacer, and a handful of races. Dark Sun gets the Preserver and a handful of races, maybe some sort of psionics framework. Krynn gets Knight of Solamnia as a Fighter kit, lunar effects on magic, and some races. I don't know Planescape well enough to comment. Greyhawk probably doesn't need any mechanical stuff, so it could donate a few pages, but it should at least describe the human ethnicities.
Here's a list: - The Morgrave Guide to Adventuring - How to Not Die in the Dungeon - The Murderhobo Handbook - Machine of Lum the Mad - Codex of Infinite Planes - Book of Exalted Deeds (not accurate to original name, but cool, IMO) - Tasselhoff's Book of Lore Personally, I like the The Morgrave (University) Guide to Adventuring best. I also really like the idea of a Codex of Infinite Planes where they Wizards just sucks it up and puts the bare minimum support they can for the top-shelf settings and then let's them be free on DMs Guild.
