Old Oak Games is excited to announce Beyond the Woods, a brand new campaign setting for 5th-edition Dungeons & Dragons inspired by ancient Irish myth and legend, coming to Kickstarter on March 11th. Discover the shadowed lands of Tír Nascath, an unforgiving dark fantasy world filled with people, places, and monsters drawn from Irish folklore. You and a band of unlikely allies must leave the safety of Céad Darach, the last great city, to explore ancient ruins, uncover long-forgotten magic, and face malevolent spirits in the hopes of finding something that can save the dying city of Céad Darach.

Beyond the Woods brings an old-school feel to 5th edition and allows you to play a classic hex-crawl exploration or “West Marches” style campaign using the 5e rules. You will explore Tír Nascath hex-by-hex, tracking your progress by placing stickers on the beautifully illustrated map as you venture further and further beyond the woods. The core set includes two must-have books: the Core Rulebook has everything you need to run old-school hexcrawl adventures in any setting and includes rules for character creation, exploration, survival, and more; while the Setting Guide explores the history of Tír Nascath and gives the GM advice and tools for running adventures in this unique dark fantasy world.
