Big Bang Volume 8 is now available. This volume of the series focuses on Soviet and Russian Anti-Tank Guided Weapons, covering both missile systems and guided tank gun munitions that have received an "AT" designation by the US Army or name designation from NATO.
These weapons cover a span of more than 50 years of military development, starting with the AT-1 Snapper, a relatively weak guided missile so slow in flight that target vehicles could actually dodge the incoming missile fire and so inaccurate that a full 1 in 3 missiles were expected to miss stationary targets. The book then moves through a long lone of development through first, second, and third generation missiles, ending with the AT-X-16 Vikhr / Germes Complex, the world's first fourth generation anti-tank guided weapon, using an incredibly accurate ground radar guidance system that can attack a full dozen armored moving targets simultaneously at a range of up to 15 kilometers!
This is one of the smaller volumes of the series, standing at 34 pages including covers and licenses, all for a regular retail price of $4.00. This book will be on sale at a 25% discount until December 2, 2004.
Also now available is the Big Bang 2004 Collection. This collects all the Big Bang related material that was produced from December 2003 to November 2004, into a single convenient and indexed package of PDFs. Regularly priced at $25.00, this collection of 8 volumes of the series (Big Bang Vol. 5-8 and Mini-Bang Vol. 1-4) is on sale until December 2, 2004 for only $15.00, a savings of 40%.
