Big dice

The Lost Muse

First Post
My wife is expecting - so now I am in need of large, non-chokable RPG dice. Does anyone know where I can get a set (or if such a product exists?)

Thanks,
Tim

First: Congradulations!!!

I don't know who makes them but each year at the summer cons at the Steve Jackson booth (GURPS and other things) they have a full set of dice that are basically like a stuffed animals. They roll pretty good and can be used as real dice plus you can wing them around like a a baseball and it is very hard to hurt people with them. Trust me, I've tried!! :D

I think they're made by Toy Vault.

Paizo had some too. Though I don't think I'd trust the randomness of plush dice. I got a huge high impact d20 last GC, but I don't rightly recall who I got it from. I would be surprised if you couldn't find a full set.

Try koplow or crystal caste.

The plush dice are indeed made by Toy Vault and can be ordered through Troll & Toad Games (or other fine retailers). at trollandtoad.com. They are the same company, so that will probably be your best price unless you find some used on ebay.

Paizo has foam dice in addition to the plush ones, but only d20s and d12s at the moment.

Hmmm...doing a web search, I think I know where they got them. Apparently they are used for probability lessons in classrooms (apparently d12s & d20s are particularly useful in those lessons). IIRC, TSR got the original polyhedrons from an educational supply company, didn't they? (for shape lessons, rather than probabilities)

The blank foam dice are interesting.
