Black on white or white on black?

Hello there.

Just a quick question: Do you prefer to read white (bright) text on black (dark) background or black text on white background?

Thanks.

I prefer dark text on a light background. Unless I have a migrane, in which case I like black on black, with the screen turned all the way down.;)

Is this for print or for screen?

It should be legal to drive to the office of any publisher where a printed item is white on black and shoot the editor in the skull.

I'm not as adament about screen stuff. Since I write black on white in word processors all the time, reading black on white is not an eyestrain.

Is for me which is why I refer light on dark. Of course it bothers me so much that I changed the colors on my browser so I don't have to worry about it.

Either one works for me. Just don't do the common internet mistake of having a black background with blue (0000FF) text on - that's a pain to read. It's not as bad as red background with blue text on (or vice versa) though - that's pretty much as bad as it gets.
