[Blackbyrne Publishing] The Manor of Deceit is HERE

What UnknownAtThisTime said, as well as I despise any and all restrictions - and especially when the restrictions are useless for enforcing what they're supposed to be there for in the first place - enforced upon me from the seller of a product that I'm supposed to pay for. And as if it wasn't enough that I get a crippled product - apparently I'm also under suspicion from the seller of being potentially involved in piracy and/or IP theft.

As the old saying goes, a few bad apples can ruin the whole barrel. Publishers (speaking from my standpoint and those I have spoken to) do not assume every customer will pirate or steal their work, but they would be foolish to assume all their customers are legit. I am not a corporation like WOTC, I am a person trying to earn a little extra income to help my family and have used money out of my own pocket to start this venture up. (still in the red, but I am told these things take time) When someone steals or pirates one of my products, that is money taken from me. Bigger corporations have a buffer in their profit margin to offset this (to a point of course) but I have no such buffer. I have changed my main adventures to no longer block the cut and paste, and am putting my faith in my customers, please don't let me down.

As said before, preventing copy/paste probably did not prevent any piracy to begin with. I think you are making the right move, personally.

I wish you all the best in your publishing efforts. The more independant, quality publishers there are, the better the end products for the paying consumers. I may be totally ignorant, but personally, I think there is a bit of a void for quality, affordable adventures out there.
