Blackdirge Publishing is happy to announce that its one-year tenure as an imprint of Skeleton Key Games is at an end. The break is a mutual agreement between Aeryn Rudel of Blackdirge Publishing and Ed Bourelle of Skeleton Key Games, and was planned from the beginning of the partnership. Blackdirge Publishing will be a completely independent brand and continue to sell its products through RPGNOW, Drivethrurpg, and Your Games Now. The product lines developed under the Skeleton Key Games imprint will remain the property of Blackdirge Publishing. Aeryn Rudel of Blackdirge Publishing had this to say about being an imprint of Skeleton Key Games: “I can’t tell you how grateful I am to Ed. His extensive experience and advice has been invaluable to me, and all of the products offered by Blackdirge Publishing are better because of the time we spent as an imprint and the influence Ed had on them. I’m looking forward to working with Ed and Skeleton Key Games in the future on a number of collaborative projects.” Ed Bourelle of Skeleton Key Games said the following about the Blackdirge Publishing imprint: “The first time I read Aeryn’s fan writing I found it truly inspiring. The storyline for each of his creations were creative and original and they were all backed up with solid game mechanics. From that first read I knew this was someone that needed to be working in the game industry. From the beginning of our partnership, we planned to get Blackdirge Publishing into a position to stand on its own. I’m proud to say that the time has come and look forward to working with Aeryn on future projects for both SkeletonKey and Blackdyrge Publishing.”
