[QUOTE="Dustin Clingman, post: 735544, member: 7355"] I have been trying to post in here since this thread started. Sorry for the perceived silence. A couple quick comments on the upcoming release. We will be trying to maintain the inspired setting from the original First Fantasy Campaign and other published works that Dave worked on in the past. Mostly we are brushing up and trying to update the world a bit in terms of the ways that games have evolved in the past 20 years or so. No that doesnt' mean there is a CCG that comes along with the game. ;) The spirit that the world of Blackmoor has maintained over the years is not lost on the team. We really enjoy playing the old modules, even though some of them do step out there a bit. But that's what it's all about right?!!?!?!?!? I don't know if I ever made it clear that Dave is one of the main writers on the project, so he remembers BM very clearly. It's been alot of fun hearing some of the stories from those old days. He is doing a great job bringing this world back to life. As for the actual book and changes in progress.... We are expanding the information on the existing races and then modifing or extending some of the other races. Depending on the sucess of the first book, we plan to publish splatbooks that focus specificlly on the Afridhi and the Peshwah as well as the Wizard's Cabal. Additionally, you can expect to see your favorite Regents, Rogues and, Rascals making thier 3e debut. We really enjoy the feedback that people have been giving, so please continue. The book will be released at GenCon and then in stores in August. If you are going to make it to GenCon, you should be able to get the book and have it immediately autographed by the man himself!
