Blast it all!! THIS TROLL LORD NEEDS HELP ON ART

Troll Lord

First Post
Okay,

Once upon a time I had a picture which fronted my D&D notebook. It was a black and white copy of a painting done by someone, sometime. The painting was realistic, maybe from the Romantic period. It depicted a knght with axe or mace standing on a ladder which had been thrown against a very high wall. Upon the wall a muslim stood, his curved bow bent, with arrow pointing down at the hapless knight. The rest of the canvas depicted the battle in all its ferocity.

I have sense lost that picture.

Can any tell me what the painting is? or better yet send me a jpg of it (surely it is on the internet somewhere?).

I can't help you. But I suggest that you change the subject line to "help me identify this picture." Your current subject line sounds like one of the various people who come online begging artists to do free character sketches. ;)

Sounds like one I have at home in a 19th century book on the crusades. It's filled with wonderful black and white prints. I'll take a look tonight and see if it's in there and who the artist is.
