Blinding spittle against Animated Objects

Reading the entry for the spell "blinding spittle" in PGtF, it doesn't have a <target> entry. My interpretation is that it therefore is not restricted to "creature", but could, eg, work on an "animated object".

There is nothing in the "construct type" description that I can see stops this spell from working.

Anyone?

"You spit caustic saliva into your target's eyes with a ranged touch attack . A -4 penalty applies to the attack roll... This spell has no effect on creatures without eyes or creatures that do not depend on eyes for vision."

So, no. Wouldn't work against animated objects.

Potatoes aren't animated objects, they're plantated.
