My monk player wants to take this feat from the Sword & Fist, I want to know if it was errated/updated/modified/etc.. in a more recent release.

And the "general ranking" of this feat...

I've not seen it updated

this is one of those feats that is eitrher really useful, or pretty much a waste. In the campaign you play in how often are blinded, denied sight, fight invisible targets or things like that? If it happens a lot, this is really useful, if it never happens this is not so good.

I suggest you don't use this feat, at least not without change because of the Blindsight/sense changes in 3.5

3.5 added a "lesser" version of blindsight, called blindsense. This basically lets you know what square your opponent is in, but the opponent still has total concealment.
