[QUOTE="ARandomGod, post: 1755239, member: 17296"] I've never seen improved blink... Now, It's inarguably true about the force effects not going the other way... IE that won't help you if you're blinking. That's what I get for being the one attacking the blinker instead of being the blinkee... It's always so confusing when these things aren't reciporical. On the other hand, the idea that a ghost touch weapon doesn't work while you're blinking is only an opinion... as far as my interpretation of the rules goes. And, of course, as an opinion on the interpretation it's the wrong one. (Or to say, my opinion is different. It just does not make any *sense* that way. Sure, sure, I know that this game is more about rules than about fun and fantasy flavor. But in this case I don't think that the rules state that ghost touch doesn't work in this way. Unfortunately, I also don't think that they clearly state much of anything on that topic.) Which is my way of answering your question about it being too rulesy. Yes, it is. Or perhaps it's that this just really is not clearly stated. I mean, wondering in the first place isn't too rulesy. I say have it work in whichever way fits your idea of fantasy best. As long as you're consistent, and can come up with some reason that you can apply equally, this does appear to be something that's just not fully interpreted. Of course if you're using the interpretation that a ghost touch weapon won't work while you're blinking, it also won't work against those who blink, hence this "improved blink" would be that much better. Assuming it does what I've inferred. I... Well, actually this is a pretty good question. I say that it would stack with the 20% for being occasionally etherial... As both the etherial is 20% and the invisible from the spell is 20%. Now, HOW do they stack is the question. Personally I'd have a seperate 50% miss chance and 20% miss chance roll. Mostly because I was never sure how or why there was a 50% miss chance from the two 20% miss chances. Although I imagine that was from the statistics of what the chance of succeeding on two seperate 20% rolls would be. Now, if someone could 1) confirm that suspicion and 2) figure out what a seperate 50% and 20% miss chance would be as one miss chance, well, that would lessen the total number of % dice rolled with each swing.
