What's that?</p><p>CR: ?</p><p>Treasure: As host</p><p>Alignment: Always Chaotic Evil</p><p></p><p>Blood Drain: A creature struck by a successful claw or bite attack from a Blood Demon must make a Fortitude save (DC 10+1/2 HD+ Str mod, total for the given stats DC 31), or be drained of 1d8 points of Con damage, with the Blood Demon gaining 5 temporary hit points for every point of Con damage dealt this way. Only creatures with a metabolism who can be subjected to critical hits are affected by this ability.</p><p>Semi-corporeal traits: A Blood Demon is unique in a way, in that it's body is constantly shifting and flowing, being made of pure liquid, but still can be physically manipulated. All weapons can affect a Blood Demon, but have a 50% miss chance, and Ghost Touch weapons have no special effect on them. Any attack that successfully hits and deals over 20 points of damage, the attacker may choose to sever any appendage or limb of the demon he desires.</p><p>Regeneration: Only lightning, sonic, fire and force attacks deal lethal damage to Blood Demons. In addition, though this ability does not allow them to regain hit points, any limb severed by an attack, be it from dealing sufficient damage or from a special quality, regrows at the start of the Demon's next turn.</p><p></p><p>Blood Demons are unique creatures. They can only be found in the deepest layers of the Abyss, and only appear on the Material Plane with the aid of creatures from that plane. They appear as nothing so much as a rolling mass of blood given form. They stand 10-15 feet tall, with each arm ending in a four-clawed hand. Their mouths are filled with fangs, and each have four eyes on their heads. However, this only cancels out their somewhat poor vision from each (penalties from poor vision cancel the bonuses for extra eyes). They are sentient, but are constantly hungry, and desire nothing more than to feed off the blood of other creatures.</p><p>Blood Demons can only appear in the Material Plane when summoned by a creature with sufficient power. When summoned, they will use their Bluff, Diplomacy and Sense Motive skills to attempt to tempt the one who summoned them into a symbiotic relationship with them. The only terms they present or will accept are bonding permanently with the beings blood, allowing them to manifest themselves in the Material Plane at will, and being allowed to feed off any creature the host desires, in exchange for absolute obedience to the host. This obedience only applies to when they appear, and who they feed from. Once loosed on an individual, the Demon will not stop until all their blood has been drunk, or another viable target presents itself who possesses more blood than their current target (read, a higher Con score). A Blood Demon can instinctively tell the exact Con score of any creature they look at. A Blood Demon who has been bonded to another creature can read their thoughts and can use suggestion as a supernatural ability on them at will. It uses this ability to try to get them to allow the Demon more people to feed from, though if the host proves firm of mind, they are content to allow the host to make the decisions.
