She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock and the strong place. From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off. Her young ones also suck up blood; and where the slain are, there is she. Job 39:28-30 Are you sweet? Are you fresh? Are you strung up by the wrists? We want the young blood. We Suck Young Blood - Radiohead Ok, here it is. Against my better judgement, I'm gonna run a d20 modern adventure here. With some caveats. ;) First, I'm not quite finished with the writing of the thing yet, but I figure getting these things up and running takes a while, so I should be ready to go when the characters are ready. Second, I'll give a disclaimer paraphrased from Blood and Relics, some content of which I'll be using. The game will play fast and loose with religious history, so fair warning if you get offended with that sort of thing. As Blood and Relics says though, none of the content is engineered to offend, but i just wanted my bases covered. Really, if Holy Blood Holy Grail / Da Vinci Code type stuff is fine by you, you should be ok. Nitty-gritty. Set in (fictional) London, England, 2004. Probably branch out to other locales in the British Isles. I'm English, but haven't lived there for about a decade, so no complaints if I screw something up. :) Characters start at level 2, basic classes only, 30 point buy. If you want, you can play an aasimar from Urban Arcana at the cost of one of your levels. If your concept is really, really good, you can play a tiefling, but likely that will be too problematic. [edit] Expect a fairly low-magic setting, but not no-magic. I will take 4-5 players. Post your intention to play here, but do NOT post your character concept/stats here yet. Mail your concept to me first, and when I've ok'ed it then we'll work up the stats. If the response is overwhelming, I'll pick players based on how well their concept fits, not necessarily first come, first serve. Hope this sounds fun to everyone, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
