This is a creature I have designed for use in an adventure I am writing to submit to Dungeon, but because I am currently without a gaming group I would like some input on the creature and spell (pending). BONE BEE Fine Undead Hit Dice: 1/12d12 (1 hp) Initiative: +4 (+4 Dex) Speed: 5 ft, fly 20 ft. (Clumsy) AC: 22 (+8 size, +4 Dex), touch 22, flat-footed 14 Attacks: Sting +5 (+8 size, -4 Str, +0 HD, +1 Weapon Focus) Damage: Sting 1 plus poison Face/Reach: 1/2 ft. by 1/2 ft./0 ft. Special Qualities: Bone Soul Venom Saves: Fort +0 (+0 HD), Ref +4 (+4 Dex), Will +2 (+2 HD) Abilities: Str 3 (-4), Dex 18 (+4), Con -, Int -, Wis 11 (+0), Cha 3 (-4) Feats: Weapon Focus (Sting) Climate/Terrain: Any Organization: Solitary, Swarm (5-20) Challenge Rating: 1/8 Treasure: None Alignment: Always Neutral Advancement: 1/10 to 1/4 HD (Fine), 1/3 to 1 HD (Diminutive) Combat Bone bees are fine undead bound by wizards as temporary warriors. Although the lifespan of a bone bee is indefinite the nature of it’s venom tends to make them short lived. Because animation process binds the soul of a mouse into the body, the bone bee requires a mouse skeleton small enough to fit in the chest cavity of the 5-inch skeletal body as a focus for the entrapped soul. Through the use of the Animate Bone Bee a caster may summon the soul of a rodent into a specially prepared body. The Body is a composite, winged creature built from the bones of tiny birds, and situated in the chest cavity is the perfect skeleton of the rodent to be bound. The body crafting requires a Craft (doll making) or Knowledge (anatomy) Check (DC 15). Although called a bee the body can appear as any winged creature with a stinging tail. Bone Soul Venom: When a bone bee stings the venom it injects is actually the animating soul. Once it has stung the body falls lifeless to the ground with a fifty percent chance of breaking. To resist the extra damage caused by the venom (1 hp) a creature must make a fortitude save (DC 10).
