No. You are absolutely correct. The phrase is "ExekielRaiden's playstyle doesn't matter, so WotC isn't going to include it among the ones it caters to." Because they can't. It is numerically IMPOSSIBLE. They cannot cater to YOU. To you, specifically. What YOU need is idiosyncratic. What YOU need does not match what any of the other hundreds of thousands of players need. So WotC cannot and will not cater to YOU. Which is something you should have already realized and accepted decades ago. What WotC CAN do is cater to a large tent of players who find SOME of the things WotC can produce acceptable. It won't be ALL... they will never match every single thing all these players want just like they aren't going to match everything you want... but WotC will produce a whole crapton of stuff that many players will like a lot of. And most players will like some of. But at the end of the day... all the people who will end up playing D&D 5E will find that a goodly number of the things they prefer will get touched upon... because they have made the choice to play D&D 5E. And if there's any number of things in D&D 5E that WotC makes that they don't prefer, in and amongst all the stuff they do... there are thousands of other creators out there that have produced D&D 5E material that that player can find on any number of sites to buy and/or introduce into their own games if they want. The choice is theirs. And even if THAT doesn't work out... they can make their OWN stuff for D&D 5E that matches the kind of things they want fairly closely if they want it that badly and are willing to put in a little bit of work. And thus... WotC's "big tent" ends up covering a whole lot of the entire playerbase-- either partially or in full. And the remaining few out there who don't like, want, or to make ANY of that stuff stuff for D&D 5E? Then they have plenty of other games and other systems they can play, and choose from, and can forsake the "big tent" altogether. They don't NEED 5E. So why are they wasting their time bemoaning that fact? I mean... unless they just enjoy bemoaning the fact they aren't under WotC's "big tent"... but if that's the case, they need to accept there will be others commenting back at them about it.
