Bonus PP

Does a psionic character use her base stat or her enhanced stat for bonus PP? My natural inclination is to use the base stat, because that's how it is with bonus spells, but I don't see any mention of this issue in my book.

Thanks,

The way I believe it is supposed to work is if the enhancement is from an item then Bonus Spells or Power Points use the enhanced stat.

Temporary enhancements from a spell are ignored for bonus power point or spell purposes but are used for the calculation of the DCs of powers or spells the character uses.

Correct. :)

The way the rule is interpreted around here is that unless it is going to be present 24x7 it doesn't count. So inherent and racial bonuses naturally apply as do items with constant affect.

Spells may apply but only if the mage dedicates enough slots/duration to keep buffed all the time (mainly for 3.0 with hour-long stat buffs). Even then, it is limited to the lowest bonus granted in the past 24hrs, which we generally assume to be a +3 stat bonus.

Conversely, if a paladin has eagle's splendour cast on him, he effectively gains a pool of extra lay on hands hit points that he can use before the spell expires.
