Wondering if there are any as of yet.

I was just glancing through it and there is a Prestige Class that requires Vow of Poverty as a prerequisite. However under Weapons/Armour it states that they are allowed to wear magical defenses.

Isn't that against the Vow of Poverty?

No errata on the official site yet, but yes, someone with the Vow of Poverty can not own/borrow/use(non-consumables) anything of value.

Do you recall which PrC ?

It's the Apostle of Peace. IMHO, this is just a typo; the PrC may have been written prior to the final edits on the feat. Given that there are two restrictions here (the PrC's and the feat's), and that the feat is a prereq for the PrC, I'd say the more restrictive prohibition (the feat's) controls. You could also read it differently, to the effect that if an AoP uses defensive magic items, he loses the benefits of the VoP feat, but not his class abilities, but that if he uses an offensive magic item, he loses his class abilities as well.

There is no way to atone for breaking the Vow of Poverty, iirc. Having it as a pre-requisite and then giving it up completely to use a ring of protection is insane, considering the AC bonuses granted by the Vow itself by the time you had enough feats to take the PrC.... although the bonus exalted feats from the Vow of Poverty would help.

Anyway, I agree, it's an error imho. Ignore it or relace it?
