Any ETA on when this will hit the book shelves after it hits the stores?

Will you be marketing it to writers as well as roleplayers? I know many writers who own a book of names are are always on the lookout for more books.

Absolutely

Hey Joe,

Book of Names should hit mid-feb or there about.

As for marketing to writers. Definately. This book, as with many of the GFW series is designed for those who design games as well as write fiction, play games, run games or just like to keep up with what is going on. Gygax's great gift is his ability to inform without restricting your creative drives.

I know I'll definitely want and need a copy! This is going to be a very useful book. It's something I'd probably use more than anything else I've got, actually. :)

Not to toot the book TLG is producing, but we have a rough of the book here and I take it every thursday night to our weekly game. When I DM (and we're playing the Big Game again TROLLZAH) I use it at least two or three times a night. And, even better, since Erde has a variety of distintive 'culture' (Mongol, Greek, French etc) I can easily find a name that fits the region that those high level mofos are wandering through. AND (heehee) when I play a character under Master Christian I have a ready source of names for my generally Ango-Saxon/German fighters/(depending on my mood)knights.

The book is a keeper without a doubt.

Spoken like a true Troll Lord. :)

Anyhow, I think this book is going to see a lot of use by me. It does have 100,000 names, right? I know it has plenty of real and fantasy names as well as methods on how to create new ones, but does it have different kinds of elven names (traditional-type vs. whatever) and such, too?

Just a general feedback to all publishers ... d20, OGL or not. I prefer hearing that the product is already printed and out to distributors, instead of the final layout going to the printers because a lot can happen at the printers that when you found they made a blatant mistake or two, there will have to be a delay because the print run have to be reprinted (assuming it is the printers' fault and willing to do the reprinting for free).

Oh, yeah. I'm looking forward to the book of names ... with meanings.
