Book on Organizations - Discussion

Yes, but I really believe that if we use a lengthy form that we will get many fewer organizations. The longer it is the fewer organizations people will lay out. I would rather see a form that is half this length and twice as many organizations (if the correlation worked that way). There's always more you can add. The form could be endless. I just think that a managable length would be shorter.

Does anyone else have an oppinion? If most people arn't interested in a book on organizations it might only be two or three people contributing... then again, seeing the book develop might inspire others to do their own. Which again, the shorter the form, the less time needed to invest, the more participation we'll probably get.

I believe that a shorter essay on the organizations will accomplish two important goals:

1. More people will write-up organizations leading to MORE organizations.

2. More people will actually read about the organizations and possibly use them.

Em, I understand you point about only bad DM's getting pigeon-holed. That is why I typically ignore those types of entries in published materials except to glean the most superficial of information about structure. The reason for that is so that if a player interacts with the Loyal Order of the Moon Tiger in my campaign and subsequently joins another campaign that involves the same organization there will be some similarity possble.
