Books on PDF available at Drivethru.

Just thought I'd meantion it here, I posted it on the "Book News" page, but a lot of people never see that. Drivethru is now selling actual novels on PDF, not just RPGs.

I picked up Feast for Crows there today.

Okay, I have now done my best to inform everyone, so I'm off to read my new book :)

Holy crap. Martin's stuff can be a slog on paper. I couldn't imagine trying to read it on a computer screen!
My thoughts exactly! As much as I want to read Feast for Crows NOW, I'll wait for the paperback edition...

I dunno.

I recently downloaded Le Morte d'Arthur over at Project Gutenburg. People spend more time reading on-screen than they realize.

Yeah, but most things on the compuer are formatted for the screen. Very few PDFs are. I don't mind reading stuff via a web browser, but I struggle to get through even a short PDF.

See, I spend all day in front of a computer screen already. When I read to relax, it's on the metro or in a comfy chair in the sun or in bed at night.

OTOH, at least the Martin books lend themselves to reading a chapter at a time. The way he hops from character to character would make it easier to read on a computer in smaller chunks, I suppose.
