Boone's resolve?

HI,

We are midway through "Always on Time." One of my players was tailing Boone and caught him in the act trying to murder a woman in Orithea. My player zapped him with Glitterdust and shot him with a large crossbow. Then Boone passed his second will save and attacked. My question is, How compelling is the demonic pistol's hold on him and would it make him fight to the death or not?"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not mind control, just a sort of addiction. He gets ill if he doesn't kill. He would have no problem surrendering.
