Boot disk help

First Post
First off, let me say I am not tech. savy, so the answer maybe easy and I just don't know it.

Anyway, I need to create a boot disk for my laptop (I am looking to do a clean wipe of the hard drive). The problem is that it appears I need a 3.5 disk to pull this off and my laptop does not have a 3.5 drive on it..
Is there a way to do this without a 3.5 drive?

What Windows versions do you have?

If it's Windows XP, you don't need a floppy. Use your system restore CD or Windows XP disc to delete your partitions and reinstall everything from stratch.

If you really need it, you can use a USB flash disk that will boot on many newer computers.

What they said. Worse case, you may have to enter your bios (Usually F1, F2, F10, or DEL from the initial splash screen on power up.) and setup the boot order to CD.

Good luck :)
