Deadlands eh? Well, I didn't like the original system. GURPS was okay. The d20 version I though had a lot of issues. So much so that I didn't even keep the more utility based monster manuals for Weird Wars or Deadlands. And now I understand they've gone to the Savage Worlds. Nah, think I'll stay away from the old Deadlands... It's not that I want to stop playing d20 or anything but it just seems so much of what's coming out, despite some great works there like Bow & Blade, has been covered before in one form or another, or multiple forms. Part of that may be that I read too much and have been involved with the hobby for a long time. Take Bastion. Most of their products are usually solid books but they've got a vampire book coming out. It'll be good as one of the first 3.5 vampire books sure but there are like what, three other vampire books already out? Dragonlance is a classic, but well, it's a claissc. Once again, nice to have 3.5 but...once again, probably a problem of mine as I read those books when they first came out and had the first hardcover for 1st edition long and away ago. Iron Kingdoms should still have some potential as Sorcery & Steam didn't cover any monsters or mechanical golems or making vehicles but we'll have to wait and see.
