Myself, I would have devoted a section to each of the dark gods and dark races (plus Vecna!) fleshing them out to &quot;plug in&quot; to the generic D&amp;D world. Each section would discuss the god or race, its influence over the world (and why it hasn't taken it over yet!), its prestige classes, and magic items associated with it.
