Message: <blockquote data-quote="Demmero" data-source="post: 1344488" data-attributes="member: 13641">The problem with this argument is that with metal minis you know what you're buying beforehand; with the WotC packs, you're buying 8 random minis.  Those who try to collect a full set usually end up with a dozen or more duplicates of one or more crappy Common (human commoner from Harbinger, Wolverine-wannabe dwarf barbarian from Dragoneye come to mind).So at $1.25 a pop, the 14 dwarf barbarians I despise and will never use have only cost me $17.50; with the price increase, that jumps up to about $22.82.  Suddenly these minis don't look like such a bargain.Others have said said that the price increase is no big deal because companies often offer new products at a lower introductory price, and that the WotC miniature lines seem to be improving in quality with each set.  Well, I don't recall WotC saying that Harbinger and Dragoneye were specially-priced at their launch.  In fact, most people I talked to about the minis thought they were over-priced.  As for improving quality...yes, I found the Dragoneye minis much-improved over the Harbingers.  But one jump in quality does not a trend make....So I guess I agree for the most part with the original poster.  I'm feeling stabbed in the back, though I'm not gonna try to organize a big protest.  I'll simply vote with my wallet.  If I buy the Archfiends line, I'll do so from an online bulk seller where I can get the cheapest price.  My FLGS will lose my business and share the pain from the price increase.  Or maybe I'll skip Archfiends altogether and practice a little fiscal responsibility...I really shouldn't be spending hundreds of dollars on little plastic army men in the first place   <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)"  data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" /></blockquote>
