hi all,

I would like to ask, if someone is affected by brain lock power and fail the will save, is he can take no action? cause the description in brain lock is "He stand dazed..." :\

Is it overpower? since the psion keep concentration, the victim keep dazed

Yes, that`s the point of the power.

But especially in case of Brain Lock, think about it: If the psion keeps concentration, he can`t take any other attack actions, so he can only move at his speed, and manifest quickened powers - so basically, this takes the two characters out of the action...

Another question on Brain Lock-- is a Brain Locked character aware of their environment in any meaningful sense? Will they remember anything that occurs while they are under the effect of the power?

The definition of Dazed states that the character can take no actions. It doesn't mention anything about awareness. The way I interpret it is that the creature can't consciously act, but autonomic or passive actions (like breathing) still occur.
Dazed: The creature is unable to act normally. A dazed creature can take no actions, but has no penalty to AC.
A dazed condition typically lasts 1 round.

Ever get up and get slightly dizzy and your vision goes black and sparkly? Or be looking at magnesiums (or other shiny matierals) and they go off and be not blinded but slightly shocked. Thats dazed. It could also be likened to when birdies fly round your head.

That is unless your psion has taken the Solicit Psicrystal power, and he transfers his concentration to the psicrystal. Oh, it's so very, very effective.

Unless you compare it with, say... actually using a power which has a serious consequence for failure of the save. Like casting ghoul touch and paralysing him, then having your familiar CDG him to death, or using sleep or deep slumber to do basically the same thing, or charm personing the guy or...

I think you get the point.

Any tactic which requires failed saves isn't that great a tactic, especially when it requires a 2nd level and a 3rd level spell slot (equivalent).
