Message: <blockquote data-quote="The Serge" data-source="post: 2898195" data-attributes="member: 4049"><p>Actually, I think it's his lips.  Most white characters, particularly protagonists, are not drawn with prominent lips.  Giving him the slightly darker tone to most of the other primary characters also sets him apart as the villain.  I don't know that the build or even the bald head have anything to do with it as the Luthor in Byrne's (excellent) overhaul was also stocky and bald, but was never mistaken for black or even mulatto.</p></blockquote><p></p>
