Malvolio is a gambler and a con-artist. He was abducted from a noble family at age 8 for ransom but was never returned. He watched games of chance at the den of iniquity where he lived and stole some dice at the age of ten; he has been fascinated by chance ever since. His captors used him as a pickpocket for a time and Malvolio picked the pocket of a magister of the local University and ended up with a treatise on probabllity. He quickly absorbed all the information, as he was able to read having been taught before he was abducted, and in his spare time did all sorts of calculations trying to improve odds of winning at games of chance. He began dicing and made alot of money. This allowed him to pay to attend the local university, hopeful of creating a perfect system of "beating the odds". Malvolio is now close to doing so and is obsessed with chance. he appears as a haggard, pale skinned student who is dissolute and flamboyant. He is like a painter in temperment in that he often idles away his time gambling and spends alot of his money on women. He dreams of understanding the very nature of chance, and is a mathematical genius. Olisia has a split personality; she lives as a travelling player, which suits her well as she has no real idea who she is and likes to lose herself by playing the roles of other people. She is capricious and whimsical and every morning flips a coin to decide who she will be today. Even so, she can frequently be heard talking to herself; the two personalities warring. Her two dominant personalities are Saldia, a shy and very easily dominated woman who is afraid of her own shadow and is a drug addict and Mogda; an extrovert and overly confident woman who is a man-eater and enjoys drinking, singing and dancing. The problem is, that Saldia hates men and if Saldia emerges whilst Olisia is with a man then she has a nasty habit of poisoning them. So Olisia is obsessed with the idea that if she can control which face the coin comes down upon, she can control her life. There are a little extreme, but let me know if they are something like what you are looking for or if they are too way out there for your campaign.
