First Post
Greetings Eberron Fans,
The last few weeks have shown lots of fanfare for Eberron, both positive and negative.
I'm sure many of you know of the Eberron Fansite The Breland Journal, and its home site Coveworld:Eberron.
The site is very graciously run by Johnny Oliane a fellow New Yorker and Eberron Fan.
Originally TBJ started as an outlet for Eberron scoops/news and previews to the upcoming campaign setting, much like Enworld was for D&D 3.0 and today all RPG's.
After Eberron's release the site has moved on to become an active Fan Resource for Eberron Fans. The site hosts various Fan works which have been found across messageboards and chatrooms.
The majority of site content can be found in three sections.
Lore: Fan Made Maps, Original Fan Art (including DMAC's incredible work), Items and Artifacts, NPC Organizations, a Demographics Generator and more.
Conversions: Fan written conversions for material originally printed in WOTC Products and Dragon Magazine. Example: Complete Warrior, Compete Divine, etc. This section puts Eberron Flavor and "Creamy" to the crunch found in their pages.
News: The Breland Ledger is the news spot, any and all Official Updates to the Official Website, or to the Fansite, or any other Eberron Information we come across is posted here nearly daily. If you have a scoop, email us at brelandledger@gmail.com
My identity over at the Ledger is Brueklen d'Cannith.
The site also has a Chatroom, shared with the Korranberg Chronical. We recently held a chat with Keith Baker, Bill Slavicsek and Mr Perkins.
The purpose of this post is some "market research" if you will. As an Eberron Fan what do you want to see this site cover. One of the things I do for Coveworld/Breland Ledger, is seak out content and fanwork to be featured there. I'm hoping that we can build a site that can qualify for an Ennie Nomination next year as a website/fan resource. What do you want to see? What do you want to contribute? Stuff like that. Let me, and Johnny know what direction you'd like this site to go.
We recently added links to Original Art, and I'm hoping to add some sort of schedule for IRC games hosted in our chatroom. That sort of thing.
Chime in and let us know!
Thanks.
P.S. This is in no way ment to steal fire from Enworld. :-D We still love you!
