They encounter a large band of shadow spirits, my race of Not Drow. After a couple of rounds of combat, their leader, a 24 HD frost giant berserker, charges into the fray. He smashes the knight for bignums of damage, and then gets hit by a rebuke from the druid. And rolls a 2 on the save, stunning him for 3 rounds. And proceeds to get cut to ribbons. Alas, poor munchkin, I knew him well.Highlight of this session:The party enters the city of Stonegate proper. Most of them hole up in a tavern to plan what to do next, while Ronin the berserker and Varimer the assassin do some scouting. They see more evidence of the cruelty of the bloodmages, and then get accosted by some more shadow spirit warriors. Ronin slices up the Not Drow, but then the last one starts running back to their tower, yelling for someone to get the master. So Ronin decides to be a hero and charges after him. He catches and kills the shadow spirit, but then five more of them dim door in beside him... including said master. Two critical-hit smites and one shadow strike Con draining attack later, poor Ronin is lying dead on the cobblestones.What did this master look like, I hear you ask?<img src="http://www.nixflix.com/moviepics/azumi_big3.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " data-size="" style="" />For those who know of whom I speak, yes, he had the red rose and white robes and <s>katana</s> bastard sword and all.
