There's no regular traffic of spaceships around the (broken) planet, no interstellar confederations, etc. This makes the loss of the planet much more dramatic. I do hope, though, there's plenty of flavor to convince high-level groups to stay around the broken world. It seems like they could just plane shift to another plane and adventure from there, abandoning the world with little loss once it's gone.</blockquote>
