I was at my FLGS, and there was a 40-ish woman there with her teen son avidly browsing the d20 section. Yes, *both* of them. It gets better.
A friend of theirs, another 40-ish woman, comes over to talk to them, walking from the part of the store that has PC/console games.
Other woman: "Yeah, there are the computer games, but I'd really like to learn more about D&D... if you guys are willing to teach me."
Much animated discussion and planning followed.
I nearly wept with joy.
Of course, the lone teens and twenty-somethings who were in the store were all like: "Ooh! Dude, Warhammer!" But still!
