SEASON 3 SPOILER WARNING!! Just finished off Season 3. I didn't realize how much I liked that season until now. 2 was great and 3 was even better. Faith and the mayor clinched it for me. So many things happened that were great and still impact this and Angel show currently: - Angel leaving. - Intro of Anya. - Intro of Faith. - Willow's increasing mystical powers. - Intro of Wes. - Cordy leaving. - Phasing out of Oz. - Foreshadowing Willow's true sexual preference and personality. - Further evolution of Giles as a father figure to Buffy. - Intro of The First Evil (important to Season 7 so far). - Destruction of the High School. - First glimpses of Cordy's development into a Hero. - Establishment that Xander does have some balls and is important to the group. He is possibly the most human out of all of them and the character that most of the male fans can relate to (no powers, kinda geeky, trouble with women). There were some other minor things as well but those are the ones I can think of at the moment. I've been a fan since Season 1 (caught up on reruns before 2 started) and while the seasons after 3 were very entertaining, none can compare. None of the future "big bads" or villains (Glory, Adam, Dark Willow, Nerds of Doom, The First) compare to Faith and the Mayor or even Angelus for that matter.
